Our Work.Offspring Tea&Toast.
This concept was inspired by the 20th anniversary of the first Offspring store. Reflecting on its early days, when the staff would gather at a local café to discuss everything from work to world affairs, the idea for ‘Tea&Toast’ was born as a nostalgic celebration of the store’s milestone birthday.
After a great deal of toiling, sawing, swearing, fixing, and sweating, we created several unique table tops in our studio, mounting them on easels. The process involved drilling and repurposing Timberland boots, plates, sugar bowls, knives, and forks. We even used real toast and sugar cubes to capture the essence of the greasy spoon tables, adding a touch of authenticity and whimsy to our design.
To enhance the nostalgic feel, we incorporated elements reminiscent of classic café décor and atmosphere. The result was in-store displays that truly had the wow factor, capturing the spirit of the original café gatherings. Each display vividly evoked the café’s charm and celebrated the store’s rich history, making the 20th anniversary both engaging and memorable. The innovative and eye-catching displays not only honoured the store’s past but also drew customers in, creating a vibrant and nostalgic celebration that was thoroughly enjoyed by all who visited.
